Data Visualization & Analytics The Dashboard serves as the central intelligence hub, utilizing custom charts and high-level KPIs to display revenue trends, order volume, and stock alerts at a glance. I implemented a “Sales by Category” pie chart (Electronics vs. Clothing) and a weekly performance line graph to help owners identify sales patterns quickly. To aid in proactive management, a “Low Stock Items” widget provides immediate visibility into inventory needs.
Streamlined Transaction Flow The POS interface is built for speed, featuring a categorized product grid (e.g., Electronics, Clothing) with large, clickable item cards. A persistent “Current Order” sidebar allows for real-time subtotal calculations and easy item removal. I designed a multi-modal payment flow that gives users clear, oversized options for Cash, Card, or Points, culminating in a clean, digital-ready receipt for successful transactions.
Key Features
The RavanOS system is defined by several strategic features designed to streamline retail management within a single, cohesive interface. At its core is an intelligent dashboard that provides real-time KPI tracking for revenue and order growth, allowing for immediate performance comparisons against previous periods. This efficiency extends to the intuitive checkout process, which utilizes modular payment selection for cash, card, or points, followed by automated receipt generation. For back-end operations, the system offers robust inventory control through detailed product management tables equipped with barcode tracking and stock level monitoring. Users can also access a comprehensive order history featuring searchable transaction logs with the specific ability to manage individual order refunds. All administrative tasks are housed within a centralized settings hub, providing a unified location for managing store details, contact information, and localization preferences.
Project Overview
RavanOS is a comprehensive Point of Sale (POS) and inventory management system designed for modern retail environments. The objective was to transform complex retail data—sales analytics, inventory tracking, and order history—into a clean, minimalist interface that reduces administrative overhead. By prioritizing a high-contrast, professional aesthetic, the design ensures that store owners can manage their operations with speed and precision.
Design Challenge
The primary challenge was organizing high-density information—such as long product lists and detailed order histories—without creating a cluttered experience. I addressed this by using a consistent whitespace-heavy layout and subtle color-coded “Status” tags (e.g., “Completed”) to help users scan data tables efficiently. Additionally, I had to ensure that the “Settings” and “Product Management” sections were intuitive enough for users to update store details or inventory without a steep learning curve.
